Alex Buys Vegas Houses was founded in 2017 and is based in Henderson, working across the Las Vegas Valley. People come to us wanting to sell a house quickly, and buying it for cash is what we are set up to do. It is not the only thing we do, and that difference is the whole company.

Meet Alex
You are probably wondering who this Alex guy is. My name is Alex Wentland, and I am a regular guy who loves football (Da Bears!) and basketball.
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, and I am a die-hard Bears and Bulls fan. I live in Las Vegas now with my wife Ellen and our two dogs, Cali and Bella. We moved out west because we were sick of the long, harsh Chicago winters. We love this city, and we tell people it is a diamond in the rough.
I started investing in Las Vegas real estate because I truly love this city and the melting pot of people that are here.
I am not an agent trying to get your listing. My team and I buy houses ourselves, and one of our main goals is to give people such a good experience that they are glad they called. I was raised to treat others the way you would want to be treated, and everyone here is held to that same standard.

What we believe an appointment is for
Every appointment ends with a recommendation, and it is not always "sell to us." One recommendation is that we buy the house — cash, as-is, on your timeline. Another is that a traditional listing would put more in your pocket, in which case we say exactly that and tell you which agents we have had good experiences with. We take no referral fee for it; we make nothing from sending you elsewhere.
And the third is simply advice — wait, call this person first, you do not actually need to sell. That is a good outcome too. The goal is to leave every appointment having actually helped, whichever of the three it turns out to be.
How we operate
We are not a real-estate agent or brokerage
We do not list homes, we do not represent sellers on the MLS, and we do not charge commissions. When retail is the right route, we point you to someone whose job that is.
Every closing runs through a title company
When we buy, the paperwork and the money move through a licensed Nevada title and escrow company — never a handshake, never cash across a kitchen table.
No pressure, by policy
Offers are free and carry no obligation. Decline and that is the end of it — we do not chase people, because we would rather be the company you recommend than the one you regret answering.

HGTV's Property Brothers filmed at one of our projects
The team behind HGTV's Property Brothers came across one of our renovation projects online. After looking at the property and speaking with Alex, they chose it as the site of an episode of the show — and filmed it there. The episode, "A Home To Hug" (Darryl & Alex), first aired on HGTV on August 21, 2019.
